How to Fake it in Society
How to Fake It in Society by K.J. CharlesKJ Charles has done it again with another really fun romp! Titus comes into a windfall that completely changes his station and prospects. And he needs a pal to help him navigate his newfound place in society. Enter Nico, a rogue with a heart of gold.
One thing I especially enjoyed in reading this book is that the characters are not static, they change and grow as they encounter new people and experiences, and in the case of Titus in particular, it was really a joy to watch.
Another delight in reading this book was the historical detail of colors & dyes, how very well researched it all was, and how seamlessly it incorporated into the story. It certainly added depth to both the characters and the plot.
And when we underpin all of that with a mystery based on the very real Diamond Necklace Affair, the tale came together beautifully: great character arcs, real historical tidbits, and a fun romance. Highly recommended for fans of historical romance!
